EXTACITY is a provocation. It consists of a series of seven gold (24 karats) handmade engraved pills, which are a conceptual and critical “cure” for each of the pathologies prescribed by Atelier Marko Brajovic for the visitor of the exhibition.
EXTACITY artwork internalizes all the fundamental questions regarding the relationship between São Paulo and its citizens. Everyday situations affect our wellbeing, such as: fear of the city, difficulty of seeing beauty in urban life, excessive use of cars, ignorance of the need for public spaces, and negligence of natural water sources. These are urban pathologies.
Symptoms:
-Astigmatism and aesthetic numbness
-Motion deficiency in public space
-Cronenbergian car fetishism
-Chronic paranoia of rivers
-Psychotic negligence of natural topological
surroundings
-Misperception or even hallucinations at the loss of the limits between private and public space
-Stylistic and social delirium of low self- esteem
