The exhibition Renato Russo honors one of the greatest icons of Brazilian music and is the fourth exhibition idealized and totally conceived by MIS - Museu da Imagem e do Som. The exhibition is curated by André Sturm - ex-director of MIS - with creative direction and expography by Atelier Marko Brajovic. Giuliano Manfredini, the artist's only son, granted MIS full access to Renato Russo's apartment, entrusting the museum with its cataloging, preservation and adaptation for the exhibition.
Renato Russo presents the life and work of this icon of Brazilian rock. The exhibition, which is exclusively part of Renato Russo's collection, brings personal objects, clothing, photographs, records, books, manuscripts, musical instruments, school documents, drawings, fan letters, prizes, fanzines and leaflets which will run his entire life. The public can immerse themselves in the multifaceted character of the band leader Legião Urbana, who besides being a great lyricist, also produced drawings and paintings, as well as a play and cinematographic projects. Particularities such as his collections of angels and tarot cards can also be seen.
